What is 4D Ultrasound?

A Magical Way to Bond With Your Baby

There's something indescribable about being pregnant - the way your heart grows, the dreams you start dreaming, and the deep love you feel for someone you haven't even met yet. At Peek-A-Boo Baby RGV, we believe you shouldn't have to wait until delivery day to feel connected to your little one.

That's where 4D Ultrasound comes in - a joyful, unforgettable experience designed to let you see. hear, and fall even more in love with your baby.

What is 4D Ultrasound?

4D Ultrasound is a non-diagnostic, elective scan done not for medical reasons, but for something just as important: emotional connection. This technology gives you the change to peek into the womb and witness your baby's world - their tiny kicks, their sleep yawns, and even their precious little smiles.

Unlike standard clinical ultrasounds, this is a moment created for you. A time to:

  • Watch your baby move in real-time.

  • Capture your first pictures in 3D/4D/5D.

  • Share the experience with loved ones in a calm, cozy space.

  • Create keepsakes - heartbeat animals, digital videos, and printed memories.

A Session Full of Joy and Wonder

When you walk through our doors, you're not just getting an ultrasound - you're entering a space where your story matters. We invite you and your loved ones to relax, laugh, and maybe even cry a little when you see your baby for the first time.

Whether it's your partner holding your hand, your children watching their sibling on the screen, or your baby's heartbeat playing softly from a plush keepsake ... these are moments you will carry with you forever,

When Is the Best Time to Come?

Each stage of pregnancy brings something beautiful to see:

  • 5 weeks - only a sac.

  • 6-13 weeks - the flutter of the heartbeat, the shape of new life.

  • 14+ Weeks - Gender reveals filled with joy and excitement!

  • 20-26 Weeks - great time to start 4D/5D. We start to see Baby's small features. Nose, lips, eyes, small cheeks, fingers, toes, yawns, and more.

  • 27-32 Weeks - hair starts showing and eyes start opening! Baby's cheeks are getting chubbier by the week, and baby is making more and more facial expressions like laughing! Features are very detailed, and we can see who baby will look like! (Mom, Dad, Siblings, and sometimes even Grandparents)!

  • 33+ Weeks - Baby is as chubby as can be! Sneak in these last little moments before baby is in your arms.

Recommendations on Prepping for Your 4D Ultrasound:

  • STAY HYDRATED with water throughout your pregnancy for the best pictures.

  • Don't eat an hour before your appointment (20+ week appts).

  • Bring a small juice, coffee, or maybe something sugary to eat/drink here during your appointment - just in case Baby is a little sleepy.

Why Families Keep Coming Back

4D Ultrasounds are more than just images and videos - they are emotional milestones. They turn nervous anticipation into joyful connection, help big siblings bond, and remind partners of their little miracles they're creating.

And for many moms, it's the first time they realize:

"That's my baby - my whole heart."

We invite you to come connect, and create a memory that will live in your heart forever.

Can't wait to meet you and your little one!
